Scientific advances in the last 100 years

Science has made tremendous progress during the last one hundrad years.Scientific progress in the field of road travel last-very fast moving cars, trucks and vehicles using the internal-combustion engine.Scientific advances in the field of railway travel-diesel and electric engines have made railway travel easy and fast.Scientific advances in the field of air travel-very fast moving aeroplanes are available. Space travel has become possible because of the great scientific progress. Man succeeded in reaching the moon in special airships. Uses of atomic energy for the preparation of atomic weapons, production of electricity, for driving ships at sea etc. Scientific advances in medicine and surgery new kinds of medicines and injections have been prepared in laboratories which can cure highly dangerous diseases quickly. Operation of the heart and the brain are possible. Scientific advances in industry new kinds of machines have been invented to make things of daily use like cloth, match boxes, shoes, etc. in large quantities within a short time. Different kinds of new machines used in printing presses have made printing cheap and quick. So books on a large scale can easily be printed.Scientific advances in agriculture machines like tractors have made it very easy to grow crops. Scientists and chemists have developed new salts and fertilizers which have increased food production very much. There have been other very useful scientific inventions like the radio, television, radar, electronic computer etc.
