Using the scientific method

Science is a systematical study of things based on practical experiments. Science is helping humanity in every walk of life. Science has changed the lives of people. We writes in this essay for all humans how we have improved our lives by using the scientific method. Only a century ago, life was most uncertain.The death rate was very high. Those who survived were attacked by different fatal diseases. But now life is most certain than a century ago. Today babies are born in the hospitals where they are safe from different fatal diseases. Young people are treated to protect them against small-pox and typhoid fever. All this has been possibe by the use of scientific method. Only a century ago, the saintary condition was very bad in big cities. The streets were narrow, unpaved and poorly drained. Household garbage was thrown into the streets. Outdoor toilets were common. But now using the scientific method, the worst has gone in store. Today our city streets are paved and well drained. Sewerage from all sections of a city is carried through sealed pipes to disposal plants. Most of the city governments have departments of sanitation which keep the city clean. In the past, water had to be carried from the well to the home but now water is available everywhere. Science has improved our method of growing and preserving food. Our forefathers could preserve food products only by drying, pickling and canning. But now, we can get all types of food in every season. Science has given us an optimistic approach. Unlike past, they are not afraid of broken mirrors, number 13 and black cats. They believe in hard working rather than superstitions.
